Frequently asked questions

Have a question? Below are the answers to the ones we’re asked most often. If yours isn’t here, email Karen at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk and she’ll be happy to help.

Sizing & fit

Yes, please ask! Sizing is the question we’re asked most, and the honest answer is that it depends on the brand and the piece. Karen knows every item in the shop, so email her at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk and she’ll tell you how it comes up. It helps if you tell her:

  • the item you’re looking at
  • the size you usually buy on the high street
  • your bust, waist and hip measurements, if you have them
  • your height
  • how you like your clothes to fit, for example close-fitting or with room to layer

Karen will get back to you [within one working day].

Most of our collection runs from UK 8 to UK 26, but the sizes on offer vary by brand and style. Each product page shows the sizes available for that item. If your size isn’t listed, email Karen at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk. She may be able to order it in for you.

We stock brands from across Europe, and each one uses its own sizing. Where an item uses European sizes, we show the UK equivalent next to it:

3810
4012
4214

Letter sizes (Small, Medium, Large and so on) show the UK sizes they cover on the product page, for example “Medium – UK 12–14”. Brands cut differently, so if you’re unsure, email Karen at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk.

Many of our Italian pieces, including most of the Goose Island range, come in one size. They’re cut generously in soft, stretchy or draping fabrics, so one garment fits a range of sizes. Our Magic Pants, for example, fit from about UK 10 to UK 20.

The size range for each piece is in its product description. If it isn’t, or you’d like a second opinion, email Karen at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk with your usual size and she’ll give you an honest answer.

That depends on the piece: a stretchy knit and a tailored jacket fit very differently. Rather than guessing, email Karen at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk and she’ll tell you which way to go for that item.

Most do, but every brand cuts slightly differently, and some styles are designed to be relaxed or oversized. Where we know a piece runs large, small or roomy, we say so in the product description. If it doesn’t say, Karen will be happy to tell you. Email her at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk.

Yes. Email Karen at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk with the item and size, and she’ll measure it for you (for example the length, the width across the bust, or the inside leg). Some product descriptions already list approximate measurements.

Use a soft tape measure and keep it level and snug, but not tight. Measure over light clothing or underwear.

  • Bust: around the fullest part of your bust.
  • Waist: around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your middle.
  • Hips: around the fullest part of your hips and bottom.
  • Inside leg: from the top of your inner thigh to the floor, without shoes.

Send these to Karen at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk with your usual size, and she can recommend the right fit.

Magic Pants are soft, very stretchy pull-on trousers with an elasticated waist and drawstring. They’re comfortable, flattering on lots of different shapes, and easy to dress up or down. Ours are made in Italy and come in one size, which fits from about UK 10 to UK 20.

Our clothes & care

Always follow the care label inside the garment. As a general guide:

  • Wash knitwear and wool by hand or on a cool wool cycle, and dry it flat. Hanging wet knitwear stretches it.
  • Turn printed and embellished pieces inside out before washing.
  • Don’t tumble dry, unless the label says you can.

If you’re unsure about a particular piece, email Karen at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk and she’ll check.

[New pieces arrive every few weeks.] Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see them first.

[Not yet, but email Karen at info@mrstsboutique.co.uk and she can arrange one for you.]
