Cookies policy

Like most websites, ours uses cookies. This page explains what they are, which ones we use and how you can control them.

How we look after your personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They let the site remember things, such as what’s in your basket or that you’re signed in, and help us understand how the site is used. Websites can also save similar information in your browser’s “local storage”. In this policy, “cookies” covers both.

Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies). Others are set by services we use, such as Stripe and Google (third-party cookies).

How we use cookies

We use two kinds of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies make the shop work: your basket, checkout, secure payments and your account. The law allows these without asking, because the website can’t work without them.
  • Analytics cookies tell us how people use our website, so we can improve it. We only set these if you say yes.

We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t track you across other websites.

When you first visit our website, a banner asks whether you’re happy for us to use analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time using the [Cookie settings] link at the bottom of every page.

Google Analytics reports trends, not individuals, and doesn’t store your IP address. Read more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Other services

Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. This sets no cookies, but your browser does connect to Google’s servers to download them.

Our links and buttons for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp are ordinary links. They don’t set cookies on our website, but those services will use their own cookies once you visit them.

Managing cookies

You can change your cookie choice on our website at any time using the [Cookie settings] link at the bottom of every page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, your basket, checkout and account won’t work. Here’s how in the most popular browsers:

To stop Google Analytics on every website you visit, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
